If you or a loved one has had cancer has it opened up your eyes to other types of cancer? health

I am finding people at work with colon and pancreatic cancers and I have read books about people’s experience with childhood cancers.
So- because of your cancer or a loved ones cancer have you gain insight or knowledge in the other cancers?
